Limited availability in Northern Michigan
We are excited that Focus Chiropractic is one of the first offices in Northern Michigan to provide this specific technology.
With this technology, patients can avoid surgery as well as getting repeated cortisone shots. Another significant benefit is that the therapy provides natural pain relief, so patients can avoid taking opiates or other painkillers.

What to Expect
We will do the initial consultation to learn about your health concern, and then we’ll perform your first SoftWave TRT session. We will focus on the area of concern to determine where our focus needs to be during the sessions.
Our Softwave Specialist will hold the applicator against your skin to administer a high-energy acoustic wave penetrating deep into the body. These softwaves are electro-hydraulically produced sound waves that exit the applicator at 3,355 miles per hour.

This creates a shearing force on a cellular level that helps break up scar tissue and remove oxidative stresses that have built up around the cell membrane. This tricks the body into thinking there is a new injury without damaging the tissue but helps activate an innate healing response on a cellular level. It also decreases inflammation and pain at the treatment site. The total session time is just 5-10 minutes. Patients who receive TRT have a quick recovery and enjoy long-lasting results.

The therapy is non-invasive, and no anesthesia or numbing agents are needed. During your mapping session, we also use the SoftWave TRT as a diagnostic tool. When used over healthy tissue, there won’t be any discomfort. However, if you have an inflamed area, it will produce sensations some describe as light shocks.
Our Softwave Specialist will then determine whether you are a candidate for SoftWave TRT and devise a plan to provide you with long-term relief.
The best part is that research suggests this treatment stimulates your stem cells within 45 minutes of this session. Stem cells are the repairmen of the body. This helps attract other helper cells and reset the body naturally. These repair and helper cells are signaled to come out over the next few weeks and start healing the damaged tissue.

Typically, after the third session, we should see a 60-75% reduction in pain. After 6-8 sessions, we should have the maximum stem cell production that will continue to migrate and repair the tissue over the next 8-12 weeks. Research shows a success rate for musculoskeletal disorders of 65-91%.
